Liberty of the Seas

Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas launched in May 2007 and is the final ship in the trio Freedom class of ship. At just under 160,000 this ship is among the larger cruise ships afloat carrying 3,634 passengers (double occupancy) over 15 passenger decks. She underwent a major revitalization programme in 2017 and will undergo a further Amplification refurbishment programme in Spring 2026 ready for the 2026 Summer season from Southampton. You will then be able to take advantage of new restaurants, Bars and staterooms; plus a Starbucks and the new Royal Escape Room experience.

Vigo

Vigo is the main Port of Spain's Galicia region and is famous for its seafood. Explore the old town with it winding narrow tree-lined streets and squares.

Lisbon

The capital of the country situated on the North bank of the River Tagus as it flows under the imposing Vasco Da Gama suspension bridge (the longest in Europe) before it reaches the ocean. Within walking distance of the cruise terminal is the area known as is Belem - with the largest number of heritage sites connected with Portuguese maritime history such as the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos from 1501, the Maritime Museum and the Museum of Archaeology. The Torre de Belem is another marvellous monument and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Parque das Nações is the site of the 1998 World Fair; and is a lively area where the locals have fun, enjoy shows, go for a walk, play sport and shop. Here you will also find the Oceanário de Lisboa which is one of the largest public aquaria in Europe to promote knowledge of the oceans. Perhaps visit the Pavilion of Knowledge (Ciência Viva) which is an interactive science and technology museum. Mainly games-based, its exhibitions and activities allow children to explore a variety of themes in an interactive and fun way.

Bilbao

Bilbao, in northern Spain, is surrounded by green mountains. It's the capital of Basque Country, with a skyscraper-filled downtown. It's famed for the Frank Gehry–designed Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which sparked revitalization when it opened in 1997. The museum houses prominent modern and contemporary works, but it's the curvy, titanium-clad building that receives the most attention.
