11 Nights
Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas
Combine two major Med cities with a Mediterranean port hopping cruise in
between. See and do much more during your summer holiday with a mix of culture,
relaxation, history, sights, beaches and culinary delights. Compare the
Pantheon of Rome to the Parthenon of Athens, check out the difference between
the Roman ruins of Ephesus in Turkey with those uncovered at Pompeii in Italy
under the shadow of spectacular Mount Vesuvius. Have Spanish Tapas on the
Ramblas in Barcelona and marvel at the still unfinished Sagrada Familia
Cathedral.
You can choose to island hop across the Aegean visiting the beaches of
Mykonos, soaking up the views of Santorini’s caldera and exploring the 5,000
Minoan history of Crete. Tick off the leaning Tower of Pisa, the Uffizi Gallery, the il Duomo Di
Firenze Cathedral and the magnificent Ponte Vecchio in Florence from
Livorno or La Spezia. Perhaps travel back in time to the land of the gods at
ancient Olympia from Katakolon and peel back layer upon layer of history in
Rome.
What’s Included:
- Return flights from the UK
- Two nights’ four-star bed-and-breakfast hotel stay in each of two
cities - Barcelona, Rome or Athens – (see itineraries below).
- Seven nights' full-board cruise on Royal Caribbean Brilliance of
the Seas
Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas
Enjoy the classic delights of Royal Caribbean on a smaller ship
without the crowds. The Brilliance of the Seas was launched in 2002 and
refurbished in 2018 - being the second ship of the four-ship Radiance class
fleet. This sleek yacht-like ship combines panoramic vistas and wide-open
spaces with acres of glass enclosing the nine-storey central atrium. This ship is
more modest in size so as not to be overwhelming, carrying just 2112 passengers
over 13 decks, at 90,090 tonnes and 962 feet in length. There are 3 swimming
pools, 14 restaurants, a theatre, casino and also the Vitality at Sea Spa. This
ship has traditionally been popular with British cruisers due to some great
spaces on board which are not found on the larger ships. The indoor adult only
solarium pool is particularly tranquil and atmospheric carrying the colonial
theme through to other areas such as the Jakarta Bar, Colony Club and Singapore
Slings. There is an outdoor movie screen by the main pool and The Viking Crown
is the pace to be late at night where you will find the Starquest nightclub
with its quirky revolving bar. This makes the perfect place to enjoy the 1970’s
disco party featured on every cruise.
